The AIPMO Corporate Event will include first a team building event, then the PMO teams' strategy formulation/alignment competition, concluding with the best PMO strategy awards. In parallel are AIPMO's certification courses (which will be run to allow the PMO team and project team members to select a certificate course of their need).

AIPMO thought how it can best support PMOs to achieve their objectives, irrespective of whether they are short, medium or long term. Giving awards for the best PMO is really a snapshot in time, where today's snapshot may be different to tomorrow's. AIPMO knows that the decisions the PMO takes to define its journey and the decisions it takes on the journey will determine whether its objectives will likely be met. This encompasses strategy formulation which is aligned to the PMO's vision and mission, then as a second step executing the strategy. Therefore, AIPMO has created six PMO Strategy Team Awards covering the different aspects of the strategy development, presentation and approval.
Focused around the strategy preparation using a structured approach to understand the key elements or building blocks of the strategy and how it will be executed.
Focused around the topic of ‘innovation’ and how the PMO will embrace, enable, and realize innovation directly and indirectly in the organization.
For the best client, supplier, and/or partner, and how PMOs can act as stars and gatekeepers in bringing organizations together to create amazing products and services.
Focused around integration and looking at how the PMO strategy is integrated with the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) environment.
For the best team effort during the week. It takes a lot of effort to put a strategy together and it’s no easy task.
For the best presentation on the last day of the event. Being prepared and then going the extra mile will be the difference
PMO Core certifications include the Foundation (IPMO-F) certification for PMO and project team
members, the Practitioner (IPMO-P) certification for PMO managers and project managers, and the Expert (IPMO-E) certification for PMO directors, experts, and consultants. Specialist certifications are for anyone involved in project and/or operation environments. The people working in the organizational functions also need to understand these topics and underlying techniques to carry out their day-to-day job.
We all work hard and with the stresses of the past two years, we need the opportunity to get out of the work environment to relax, explore, and be with the family. Switzerland is one of the best family orientated countries and Davos is great for families. AIPMO has negotiated on special room discounts in the classic Schatzalp hotel but if you want to be in a modern hotel, there are many 3, 4, and 5 Star hotels nearby.
From Zurich airport, the train to Davos takes 2 hours 40 minutes and car takes 2 hours. It is a lovely train/car ride through the Swiss country and Swiss Alps. From Geneva, the train or car takes an additional 3 hours. Also, you can fly to Milan in Italy or fly to Munich in Germany and then take the train or car.

The course fee covers a premium training experience in a 5-star hotel, learning materials, lunches & refreshments, the certification, and membership with AIPMO.
Only a company or organization with at least 2 delegates can enter the strategy session. Individuals can join other teams, if the team is willing to accept them.
